The Iranian Journal of Pathology (IJP) is the official peer-reviewed scientific publication of the Iranian Society of Pathology. Established in 2006, IJP provides a forum for the exchange of information on all aspects of pathology, including clinical and anatomical pathology.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published in IJP are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download, and share.

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Each submission is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief for suitability. Suitable manuscripts are then sent to at least two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper.

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archive among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration.
